About Us

Dr. Khursheed Ansari is a Full Time Consultant Neurosurgeon in the department of Brain and Spine surgery at Dr. LH Hiranandani Hospital, Powai. He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of Neurosurgery.

Dr Khursheed Ansari is one of the few neurosurgeons in Mumbai, certified by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom in Neurosurgery and has been conferred FRCS in neurosurgery after passing highly competitive examination. During his ~ 3 years of clinical fellowship in the UK, he had the opportunity to work in various neurosurgical subspecialties such as neuro-oncology, spine surgery, epilepsy surgery. He has been awarded the Royal college of Surgeons of England approved fellowship in skull base surgery from North Bristol NHS trust, Bristol. He has trained pediatric neurosurgery from the Great Ormond Street Hospital for children, London. He did further course in Epilepsy surgery in Vienna, Austria

Dr. Ansari completed his M.S in General Surgery from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and Sion Hospital, Mumbai in 2009. He continued to acquire MCh in neurosurgery from one of the most prestigious neuroscience institute SCTIMST in Trivandrum, Kerala in 2012. SCTIMST is an institute of national importance under Government of India. He has an additional 1 year of postdoctoral fellowship in skull base surgery from SCTIMST and a fellowship in Neuro-endoscopic surgery subsequently

Minimal invasive neurosurgery popularly known as keyhole surgery is his niche area of practice. Brain tumor surgery, spine surgery, surgery for stroke, trauma, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, pediatric neurosurgery are other areas of his Interest. Treatment of headache, cervical pain, low back pain, trigeminal neuralgia, epilepsy and head and spine injuries are the extended areas of his services.

Dr Khursheed has presented papers at National conferences and has several publications in indexed neurosurgery journals. He has attended many Conferences, Workshops and Neurosurgery CMEs as a speaker and delegate.

He is a life time member of Neurology society of India (NSI), Neurological surgeon’s society of India (NSSI), The Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS).
